The SEN TA Job:
REESON Education are currently looking for an SEN TA to work within a fantastic, special school situated in the borough of Haringey. This is a long-term position with the potential to become permanent for the right candidate, starting from January. This school specialises in educating students with Autism and therefore the successful LSA needs to have previous experience working with ASD children. This specific role will be working as a Teaching and Behavioural Support Assistant for small groups and potentially 1:1.
The School:
This outstanding special school is situated in the borough of Haringey, this is a relatively new school which has been open for a couple of years. They have approximately 60 -70 students between the ages of 5 -19. They can support pupils with high and low functioning autism. It is the school's priority to make sure each student has an individual focus, that is not only enjoyable but age appropriate. This school has fantastic amenities for members of staff and are able to provide their employees with personal and professional development.
The Ideal Applicant:
The Headteacher is incredibly successful and is highly valued by all members of staff. They are looking for someone who is confident, driven, eager to learn, flexible and can take initiative. As this vacancy is a January start, it is key for any new member of staff that joins the school that a smooth transition takes place, in order to create minimal disruption for the students and staff when returning back to school after the holidays.
The ideal candidate will have prior experience working with children with complex needs in either a mainstream or a special school. We need someone who is highly confident in supporting students with complex needs.
