Are you looking for a full time, long term role?
I am looking for a confident and reliable Teaching Assistant, who is looking for a fresh start within a lovely school helping those who have varying special needs such as Autism, Profound Multiple Learning Difficulties, Moderate Learning Difficulties, Severe Learning Difficulties, Hearing Impairments, Visual Impairments and Speech and Language Communication needs. You will be working with these children on either a 1:1 basis or in small classes. Due to the nature of the work, personal care may be required and therefore a health care background would be preferred however, this is not essential.

What will be your role within the classroom?
- Working closely with parents and reporting back on pupils' progress
- Preparing the classroom, ready for the school day
- Working with children on a 1:1 basis as well as in small groups
- Providing personal care
- Observing children's behaviour
What does Autism mean?
Autism which is often abbreviated to ASC (Autism Spectrum Condition) could mean that individuals may have trouble with the following: Anxiety, communication, social interaction, repetitive and restrictive behaviour, varied sensitivity to certain senses such as; light, sound, taste and touch. Children with Autism may rely on different ways to communicate this maybe through PECS and Makaton.
What does PMLD mean?
Children with PMLD will have more than one disability, this could mean they may have trouble with the following: communication, hearing and visual impairments, physical disabilities, and mental health difficulties. Many individuals with profound multiple learning difficulties rely on different ways to communicate this maybe through such as PECS and Makaton.
