A well regarded all through Special Needs ( SEN ) provision in London with a top of the range School site and facilities are seeking to appoint for a Primary and Secondary age range Graduate Teaching Assistant ( TA ).

This Graduate Teaching Assistant ( TA ) role is to start as soon as possible for the remainder of the academic year with the opportunity to move to a permanent role thereafter.

Graduate Teaching Assistant ( TA ) - Special Needs ( SEN )

The Provision:

The School caters for Primary and Secondary aged pupils with MLD, SLD, Autism, Global Delay and Speech and Language needs. Pupil ages range from 5 to 19 years old. This School is led by a very effective Head teacher and the main aim of this Special Needs (SEN ) provision is to offer a calm setting that promotes the students with every opportunity to progress and achieve success. Classes are small in size to allow for individualised attention as the School understands that it takes careful planning and relationship building to deliver an effective curriculum.

The Role:

As a Graduate Teaching Assistant ( TA ) you will be required to assist Special Needs ( SEN ) pupils with learning on a 1-2-1 and small group basis. You will be required to support the Class Teacher in delivering tailored education programmes. You will be a positive and happy presence in the classroom, able to provide pupils with encouragement and praise. You will be creative and be able to think outside the box to make learning fun and accessible for these students with Special Needs ( SEN ). You must be a team player who is able to work effectively with fellow TA's and Teachers. Your ultimate goal is to help pupils achieve and enjoy learning!

This Graduate Teaching Assistant ( TA ) role would suit a passionate and bubbly personality, someone who is adaptable and can working as part of a team. Experience with special needs is preferred but not essential . You must be friendly, patient and up for the challenge!
