The SEN Teacher Job
I am seeking to appoint a passionate, talented and highly motivated SEN Teacher to a permanent vacancy in at an outstanding special school based in the London Borough of Kingston upon Thames. This vacancy has arisen as the school has opened a new satellite provision to help deal with the increased demand for places and new classes will be opening from next term.
As a class based SEN teacher you will undertake the full responsibilities for the class including planning, lesson delivery, assessments, liaising with families and outside agencies, undertaking training and line managing a team of 3 teaching assistants.
A comprehensive induction will be provided to help you get familiar with the school, your pupils and the curriculum you will be using that has been developed specifically for the needs and abilities of the pupils you will teach. As a result of this well established highly successful programme of support the Headteacher has indicated that they are happy to receive applications from experienced SEN Teacher applicants or to support mainstream teachers seeking to transition into special needs. The school is also willing and able to offer ECT support for newly qualified teachers seeking their first post.
