SEN Teacher

Primary SEN Teacher - Permenent position from Sept 2020 - Essex based SEN School - Potential for TLR

This opportunity is for a Teacher with 2+ years of experience within an SEN School setting who is looking to join an exceptional team and progress their career in SEND teaching!

The School:
Highly successful SEN School based in Essex. The School enrolls pupils from age 4 - 18 years with Special Needs including Autism, SLD and PMLD. The Head Teacher has been in post since 2017 after being promoted from Deputy. She is kind, passionate and experienced and as a Leader is supportive and approachable. The School has gone from strength to strength and has a great reputation in Essex. The School recently opened their post 16 provision in 2018. The Primary, Secondary and Post 16 Phases of the School work collaboratively. Staff teams meet once a week to share best practise, resources, strategies etc and ideas are valued from every member of staff. The role:
The Head Teacher is looking for a first class Teacher with Outstanding practise to join their team. The opportunity to join the Primary Phase is for a September start and is a permenent contract. They are very much looking for a committed and ambitious Teacher who may be considered for leadership opportunities. You will teach a class of Early Years, Key Stage 1 or Key Stage 2 students. You will be responsible for planning and delivering relevant learning for students with Complex Needs and tracking students progress. You must engage learners in creative activities which will expand their skills in Reading, Writing, Communication and Speech and Social Interactions as well as other learning goals on the P Levels programme.

Experience of the following would be excellent - Delivering Sensory learning; TEACCH Method; Makaton; PECS; Attention Autism; Positive Behaviour approach; Intensive Interaction.
