SEN Teacher - Swanley

Location: Swanley
Pay: £155-£210 per day
Parking: On-site parking available

A truly fantastic ASD secondary school in Swanley that supports students with complex needs and Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD) is seeking an SEN Teacher to teach up to foundation GCSE level for an immediate start. This lovely, small SEN school consists of students who all have a diagnosis of autism and varying complex needs. The aim of the school is to help students thrive and prepare for future independence by offering an inspiring curriculum that focuses on life skills, confidence building, and participation within the local Swanley community.

The SEN Teacher Role

Are you a compassionate and dedicated SEN Teacher looking to make a real difference? We are seeking a resilient and enthusiastic SEN Maths Teacher for this vibrant specialist school in Swanley, supporting pupils with ASD and complex needs.

In this rewarding role, you will create a nurturing, structured and inclusive classroom environment tailored to the unique strengths and challenges of each student. Your expertise will help students build strong mathematical foundations and prepare for foundation-level GCSE learning.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and deliver personalised educational programmes

  • Foster a calm, positive, and supportive classroom atmosphere

  • Monitor and assess student progress, adjusting approaches to meet complex needs

  • Engage with parents and caregivers to support learning at school and home

  • Lead and collaborate with a strong classroom support team

  • Teach GCSE Maths up to foundation level

  • Teach entry-level Science (training or willingness accepted)

SEN Teacher Requirements

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent

  • SEN experience preferred but not essential

  • Experience with ASD and/or complex needs highly valued

  • Strong communication and teamwork skills
