The SEN Teacher Job

An good (OfSTED) SEND school in the London borough of Wandsworth are seeking to appoint an SEN teacher for an immediate start to join their team on a permanent SEN teachers having to move back to Australia due to family issues. This role will last for the duration of the academic year but could become permanent in due course subject to performance. The Headteacher has indicated that they are seeking an enthusiastic, hardworking, proactive, flexible SEN Teacher to work with the support of 4 experienced LSAs.

You will be taking on the full responsibilities of a permanent member of staff and will be expected to undertake short term planning, provide assessments, fill out paperwork, liaise with parents etc.

The Ideal SEN Teacher Applicant

The ideal candidate will have some experience working with children with more complex special needs either in a special school or in a mainstream setting. UK trained and overseas trained teachers with UK teaching experience and QTS or the equivalent are encouraged to apply. TEACHH training would be a distinct advantage.
