Key SEN Teacher Responsibilities
* Plan and deliver engaging lessons tailored to pupils with SLD
* Support pupils' communication, sensory, and independence needs
* Work closely with support staff and therapists to create a holistic learning environment
* Use a range of assessment tools to track and report progress
* Foster a calm, structured, and safe learning space
* Co-ordinate with parents and external professionals to support pupil development
* Contribute to the wider school community and its inclusive ethos
SEN Teacher Qualifications and Experience
* QTS or equivalent recognised teaching qualification
* Experience teaching pupils with SLD or complex needs
* Strong classroom management and adaptive teaching strategies
* Passion for inclusive, child-centred education
* Excellent communication and teamwork skills
* Knowledge of SEND strategies, EHCPs, and safeguarding procedures
* Makaton, PECS, or similar communication tool knowledge (desirable)
