We are currently recruiting for a full-time SEN Teaching Assistant to join a highly regarded specialist school based in Chiswick, West London. Your Role as an SEN Teaching Assistant:
As an SEN Teaching Assistant, you will play a pivotal role in supporting pupils' educational and social development. You will work closely with class teachers, therapists, and other support staff to ensure that each child receives the targeted support they need to thrive.
Main Responsibilities:
- Supporting students with ASD and moderate learning difficulties in both one-on-one and group settings
- Assisting with the implementation of personalised learning plans and behaviour strategies
- Promoting positive behaviour and social interaction through clear boundaries and reinforcement
- Helping to create a safe, stimulating, and engaging learning environment
- Supporting pupils with personal care and physical needs, where required
- Assisting teachers in preparing learning resources and classroom activities
- Monitoring progress and contributing to student records and reviews
- Maintaining the highest standards of safeguarding and health & safety at all times
