An exciting opportunity has arisen for a strong, reliable, and enthusiastic SEN Teacher Assistant to join the team on a full-time, long-term basis, starting this month.
This role will involve supporting a small group of Key Stage 3 and 4 students who have complex needs and benefit from a calm, consistent, and empathetic adult presence. - Collaborate closely with teachers, therapists, and external professionals to ensure consistent support for each pupil.
- Maintain accurate records of progress, achievements, and daily observations.
Ideal SEN Teacher Assistant:
- Experienced in working with children or young people with SLD, ASD, or other complex needs.
- Confident, patient, and adaptable, with the ability to remain calm under pressure.
- Able to engage and motivate students through creative and practical approaches to learning.
- Comfortable with aspects of personal care and physical support where required.
- Excellent communication skills with staff, parents, and external agencies.
- Holds an Enhanced DBS check (on the Update Service or willing to apply).
- Ideally holds relevant qualifications such as Level 2/3 in Supporting Teaching & Learning, Health and Social Care, or Psychology.
Teacher Assistant Benefits:
