An "Outstanding" specialist SEN school in Brent in North West London (OfSTED) is seeking a Secondary PMLD/ASD SEN Teacher from September 2019. OfSTED said "the pupils' behaviour is outstanding. Pupils follow the clear rules for their conduct. They are very positive about the school's emphasis on developing tolerance and respect". The school caters for children and young adults aged 4 - 19 years old. Many pupils also have significant learning difficulties so experience in this area, as well as basic knowledge of PECS and Makaton would be advantageous.
The class itself consists of 6 pupils (Mixed KS3/4). In class you will have the support of 2 outstanding, friendly, and hardworking TAs full-time in class. Classes are well-resourced and staff work in a friendly, cooperative and highly effective manner. The school is very much outcomes focused and staff are expected to adapt their practise to ensure that the pupils make outstanding progress and meet their potential. OfSTED praised the SLT for the stable, and truly progressive approach they have taken in the development of the school curriculum and the innovative new data and assessment pathway that the school has introduced this year.
