Job Description:
Reeson Education is looking for a skilled and passionate SEN Teacher to join a specialist SEN school in the M31 area. This full-time, long-term role offers the opportunity for a SEN Teacher to make a real difference to pupils with profound and complex needs. The successful candidate will work in a highly supportive environment alongside an experienced team of teachers, teaching assistants, and therapists.

The SEN Teacher will deliver structured and differentiated lessons tailored to the needs of pupils with ASD, PMLD, SEMH, and other complex learning needs. You will provide a safe, nurturing, and engaging learning environment where every child can thrive and achieve their full potential.

Key Responsibilities for the SEN Teacher:

  • Plan and deliver lessons as a SEN Teacher across primary and secondary-age pupils, adapting content to meet individual needs. EYFS AND KS1 Expertise is advantageous in this role.
  • Work 1:1, in small groups, and with whole classes to support learning, engagement, and communication.
  • Support pupils' emotional regulation and behaviour management as a SEN Teacher.
  • Collaborate closely with teaching assistants, therapists, and staff to ensure the best outcomes for all pupils.
  • Provide feedback and monitor progress, reporting to parents and the wider team as a SEN Teacher.
  • Ensure the highest standards of safeguarding and pupil wellbeing as part of your role as a SEN Teacher.

Requirements for the SEN Teacher:

  • Qualified teacher with experience in SEN education.
  • Strong understanding of pupils with ASD, PMLD, SEMH, ADHD, and other complex needs.
  • Proven ability to plan and deliver differentiated lessons and individualised support as a SEN Teacher.
  • Excellent behaviour management, communication, and organisational skills.
  • Commitment to long-term employment and collaboration as a SEN Teacher in a specialist setting.
