Pay: £135 to £205 per day (Dependent on Experience) + SEN Allowance
Reeson Education is seeking a compassionate and committed SEN Teacher for a specialist SEND provision in the M31 area of Trafford, starting from September 2025. This SEN Teacher role offers the chance to work with a small group of pupils with autism, learning difficulties, and complex behavioural needs in a unique setting that's actively growing and developing its provision. The position is full-time, Monday to Friday, and has excellent potential to become permanent.
As an SEN Teacher, you'll be at the forefront of leading a specialist base designed for up to five pupils with ASC and complex needs, supported by an experienced team of TAs and HLTAs. This SEN Teacher role is ideal for someone confident in managing challenging behaviour, delivering a personalised curriculum, and leading a team within a nurturing, specialist environment.
Key Responsibilities of the SEN Teacher:
- The SEN Teacher will lead teaching, assessment, and curriculum planning for pupils with ASC and complex learning needs
- Manage, support, and oversee a team of TAs and HLTAs to ensure high-quality support
- Develop bespoke educational and behavioural plans for each pupil
- The SEN Teacher will maintain comprehensive progress records and report outcomes
- Work closely with therapists and other professionals to offer holistic support
- Coordinate transitions, including admissions and pupil exits
- Deliver inclusive, engaging teaching while embedding autism-friendly practices
- Travel off-site with pupils for community learning opportunities - a driving license with business insurance is essential
The Ideal SEN Teacher Will Have:
- QTS (Qualified Teacher Status)
- Proven experience as an SEN Teacher supporting pupils with ASC, SEMH, and complex needs
- Confidence in adapting curriculum content for personalised learning
- Strong interpersonal, leadership, and team coordination skills
- A full UK driving license with business insurance
Desirable Skills and Experience for the SEN Teacher:
- Additional SEND qualifications
- Familiarity with TEACCH, SPELL or similar autism-specific frameworks
- Previous experience managing or leading a small team in a SEND setting
