Reeson Education are currently looking for SEN Teaching assistants to join a school in West London with an immediate start. This school specialises in working with students with ASC and therefore we are ideally looking for someone who has an understanding of Autism. You will be working closely with students providing support and supervision, responding to individual needs, working with PECS, reporting on progression and managing behaviour.
This school is in a fantastic location and works with students from the ages of 5 - 16, you will be offered brilliant support from both class teachers and the Senior Leadership Team. Class sizes are small in order to support students reach their maximum potential.
This is a full time position, with the potential to become permanent for the right candidate.
What does Autism mean?
Autism which is often abbreviated to ASC (Autism Spectrum Condition) could mean that individuals may have trouble with the following: Anxiety, communication, social interaction, repetitive and restrictive behaviour, varied sensitivity to certain senses such as; light, sound, taste and touch. Children with Autism may rely on different ways to communicate this maybe through PECS and Makaton.
