Role: SEN Teaching Assistant (PMLD)

Pay: £80 to £100 (Depending Upon Experience)
Reeson Education are currently looking for an experienced SEN Teaching Assistant (PMLD) for one of our client school based in Tottenham.
The headteacher of this lovely primary school is looking to onboard an experienced SEN Teaching Assistant (PMLD) to be part of their team of support staff at the school
The ideal candidate will be required to be either CACHE L3 and above or have previous experience working across all primary year groups on 1:1 and small group basis.
The role is working as a general learning support assistant in the morning and in the afternoon you will be supporting a student with complex SEN needs on a 1:1 basis.
As a SEN Teaching Assistant (PMLD) you will:
- Aiming to maximise learning opportunities and success for all learners.
- Providing pupils with learning support in a 1:1 and small group situation
- Develop the knowledge of the needs of the child whilst seeking advice from SENDco and Class Teacher
- Motivating your pupils to achieve beyond their potential
- Supporting and encouraging pupils in their schoolwork
- Encouraging children to communicate
- Helping children to understand instructions
- Ensuring pupils feel comfortable and confident in their own abilities
- Listening to children read, reading to them, and telling them stories
- Looking after vulnerable children who require a dedicated person to manage their physical needs, including their hygiene
- Helping children who need extra support to complete tasks
