What We're Looking For:

  • Experienced SEN Teaching Assistant: The school require an experienced individual who has a proven track record of working as a SEN Teaching Assistant, preferably with a focus on supporting pupils with SEMH needs. Your previous experience will enable you to hit the ground running and provide effective support to the pupil.

  • Confidence in Supporting SEMH: It is essential that you are confident and knowledgeable in supporting pupils with SEMH needs. You should have a deep understanding of the underlying causes of challenging behaviour and possess effective strategies to de-escalate situations. Your patience, empathy, and ability to build rapport will be key in creating a positive relationship with the pupil.

  • Child-Centered Approach: Our school values a child-centered approach, where the individual needs of the pupil are at the forefront. You should be skilled at tailoring support to meet the pupil's specific needs, ensuring they feel understood, valued, and encouraged to reach their full potential.
