About the Role
A welcoming and inclusive primary school in Greenwich is looking for a compassionate and dedicated SEN Teaching Assistant to join their team. This rewarding role involves working closely with children who have a range of special educational needs (SEN), providing one-to-one and small group support to help them access learning and reach their full potential.
You will work alongside class teachers and the school's SENCO, delivering tailored support strategies to ensure pupils feel engaged, supported, and encouraged in their education.
Key Responsibilities
Provide targeted support to pupils with SEN, both in class and in small groups.
Assist in adapting activities and resources to meet individual learning needs.
Encourage positive behaviour, independence, and active participation.
Work collaboratively with teachers, parents, and external professionals.
Support pupils' social, emotional, and academic development.
Candidate Requirements
Previous experience supporting children with SEN in a school or similar setting.
A patient, empathetic, and resilient approach.
Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
Ability to work as part of a team and follow individual learning plans.
A genuine passion for supporting children with additional needs.
