About the Role:
We are looking for a compassionate and dedicated SEMH & SEN Learning Support Assistant to join our secondary school team in Bolton. This full-time, term-time role involves supporting secondary-aged students who require extra emotional, behavioural, and learning support to reach their potential.
Key Responsibilities:
Provide one-to-one and classroom support for secondary students with SEMH and SEN needs
Assist teachers in delivering personalised learning plans and strategies
Monitor and report on student progress to teaching staff
Build positive relationships and offer emotional support to students
Support students' social, emotional, behavioural, and academic development
Requirements:
Experience working with secondary-aged students with SEMH or SEN needs is highly desirable
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
Patience, empathy, and ability to remain calm in challenging situations
Must be a confident driver with access to a vehicle
Ability to work collaboratively as part of a team
Commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children
