A welcoming and inclusive Primary School is seeking a dedicated and compassionate SEN Teaching Assistant to join their team as soon as possible. This role involves supporting children with mild autism within a well-resourced Special Educational Needs Unit.

This is a rewarding opportunity for someone passionate about supporting children with additional needs and helping them thrive both academically and socially.

The Role:

  • Providing 1:1 and small group support for pupils with mild autism

  • Supporting learning within the school's Special Needs Unit

  • Assisting with the delivery of tailored interventions and personalised learning plans

  • Promoting positive behaviour strategies and emotional regulation

  • Encouraging social interaction and independence

  • Working closely with the class teacher, SENCo and external professionals

The Ideal Candidate Will:

  • Have previous experience supporting children with Autism (ASD)

  • Demonstrate patience, empathy and strong communication skills

  • Have a good understanding of SEN strategies and inclusive practice

  • Be proactive, reliable and committed to making a difference

  • Hold relevant qualifications (desirable but not essential)
