SENCO

Reeson Education is currently seeking a dedicated and experienced Part-Time SENCO to join a friendly and welcoming primary school located in the heart of Wandsworth. This is a fantastic opportunity for a qualified and experienced SENCO to work in a supportive and dynamic environment, making a real difference to the lives of children with Special Educational Needs (SEN).

As a Part-Time SENCO, you will be responsible for identifying and assessing the individual needs of children with SEN and ensuring that appropriate support and interventions are put in place to help them achieve their full potential. You will work closely with teachers, parents, and outside agencies to develop and implement personalised learning plans for children with SEN, and you will be responsible for monitoring their progress and ensuring that their needs are met.

The successful candidate for this role will hold a relevant SENCO qualification, such as the National Award for SEN Coordination, and will have previous experience working as a SENCO in a mainstream primary school setting. You will have excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build positive relationships with children, parents, and colleagues. You will be highly organised and efficient, with excellent attention to detail and the ability to work effectively under pressure.

This is a part-time position, working 3 days per week, and is a September start. The salary range for this position depends on qualifications and experience.

SENCO Requirements:

  • A relevant SENCO qualification, such as the National Award for SEN Coordination
  • Previous experience working as a SENCO in a mainstream primary school setting
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build positive relationships with children, parents, and colleagues
  • Highly organised and efficient, with excellent attention to detail and the ability to work effectively under pressure
  • A commitment to ongoing professional development and a willingness to learn and implement new strategies and techniques as required.
