A SENDCO is needed in a Mixed Comprehensive Secondary School & Sixth Form in South East London.
This SENDCO position will be full time and permanent.
If appointed as a SENDCO, you will be responsible for:
- Ensuring SEND provision is properly managed
- Providing guidance for the SEND department to maintain high quality teaching
- Monitoring progress of pupils with SEND
- Evaluating the levels of teaching and overseeing improvements
The salary for this SENDCO post will be between £55881 and £70473, depending on the qualifications and experiences of each applicant.
The School
A 'Good' Mixed Comprehensive School & Sixth Form, for pupils aged 11 to 19 years old, located in the Royal Borough of Greenwich.
Founded in 1971, the school now has just under 2000 pupils on enrolment.
There are over 80 languages spoken by staff and pupils.
In terms of facilities, there is an Olympic legacy sports set up in the gymnasium and dojo, as well as a shared use sports centre. A new building opened in 2011, providing new resources and equipment.
The school holds a Artsmark Platinum and 4 PTI Awards.
During their last inspection, Ofsted noted that the pupils display good behaviour. They are always ready to learn and are polite, caring of others and friendly.
A number of notable pupils have attended the school previously. This includes actors, a dancer, footballers and a poet.
Requirements
You can apply if you're a recently qualified SENDCO or experienced SENDCO.

- UK QTS
- Right to work in the UK
- Clear and up to date Enhanced DBS
- Experience as a SENDCO in UK Secondary schools
- Evidence of continuous professional development in relation to Disability & Special Educational Needs (SEND)/SENDCo Accreditation
