Brent SEN School

Starting Immediately

The Special Needs Department at Reeson Education are currently looking for SEN TAs / LSAs for a prestigious all-through special school in the London borough of Brent.
This school caters for students with ASD (Autistic Spectrum Disorder), complex needs, SLD (Severe Learning Difficulties) and PMLD (Profound Multiple Learning Difficulties). The majority of students are non-verbal and with such a wide range of learning disabilities, and students are supported by a multidisciplinary team including physiotherapists and therapists. There is a strong emphasis on the importance of communication skills and in leading the young people they work with towards independence.

The successful candidate will be supporting students with ASC, complex needs, SLD and PMLD. Some students are wheelchair users and have physical disabilities. They will also communicate non-verbally, so being able to use Makaton or PECs will be ideal. You will also assess individual learning needs and work on a group basis.
