Enthusiastic Student Support Worker required ASAP in a coeducational Secondary school in South West London.
If appointed as a Student Support Worker, you will be required to support pupils in KS3, as the school is new and currently only has pupils for Years 7 to 9 on its roll.
This will be a full time Student Support Worker post, Monday to Friday.
Working hours for this Student Support Worker role will be 8am to 3pm, except on Wednesdays, when all Student Support Workers are expected to attend team meetings/professional development sessions which end at 3:30pm.
Standard Student Support Worker responsibilities will apply for this Student Support Worker post. This includes but isn't limited to managing pupils behaviour effectively, working as part of a team and adapting to different pupils needs to support them in lessons.
As the school is new, the team would be keen to take on a Student Support Worker that has experience of supporting a wide variety of pupils.
However, all applicants will be considered, as long as they demonstrate a strong desire to commit to the criteria and carry out the work with genuine enthusiasm.
The rates of pay for this Student Support Worker position will range from £70 to £100 a day, depending on the experiences and qualifications of each candidate.
The School
The school opened in September 2020, with its first group of Year 7 pupils. As such, it hasn't been inspected by Ofsted.
There are provisions and facilities in place to accommodate pupils aged 11 to 16 years old.
Based on it being early in the school's history, there are numerous opportunities to settle in and progress further with your career, should you wish to take on more responsibilities and carry out extra courses for personal development.
In terms of site, the school has state of the art buildings, providing all staff and pupils with an inspiring work environment.
Looking to work closely with the associated 6th Form in the area, the team can ensure a smooth transition for pupils that eventually complete their GCSEs and move on to A Levels.
MFL is the schools specialism, with Chinese and Spanish being taught to all Key Stage 3 pupils.
Requirements

- Clear and up to date Enhanced DBS
- UK Bachelor's Degree or overseas equivalent
- Relevant experience/knowledge of working with children aged 11 to 16 years old
