- "Supply bubbles" currently being drawn up for shortlist and submission to local Secondary Schools
We are working on an exclusive basis with a number of schools in Haringey, Brent and Barnet that are looking to build a localised pool of qualified Secondary Supply Teacher to form "bubbles" who can satisfy the supply needs across all subjects for the remainder of the academic year. The Schools have well thought out, consistent and reliable practice in place to ensure staff and student safety being mindful that they still need to respect distancing, exposure and safety standards. As such we have agreements with a number of schools to provide small bubble groups of supply staff, who will attend a limited number of schools to try and limit the risk of Covid transmission. Being assigned to a small number of schools on this basis will still facilitate up to a maximum 5 working days per week (although we also encourage applications for those who desire less). This is then backed up by our supply teacher guarantee which ensures you are paid (assuming you are available for work), even on days when schools do not need you.
You will be required to deliver engaging and stimulating lessons that have been planned and left by the regular class teachers. Your ability to build rapport with the students and staff alike is desirable. Flexibility and an appreciation of nimble working practices are essential to successful completion of your day as is the ability to manage class behaviour. Students respect and remember a good Supply Teacher and as such it will give you the opportunity to put down roots in Schools that will be happy to consider you for permanent subject specific teaching roles.
The schools you will be working in are all multi-cultural and inclusive learning environments that create safe, caring, challenging and creative atmospheres where pupils are encouraged to become lifelong learners and think independently. These schools all believe strongly in mutual respect, for all pupils to enjoy learning and achieve the best of their ability, your role as a supply teacher plays an important part in this.
In return for this, you will be awarded a competitive rate of pay, professional development training, a dedicated consultant who will work with you to best match your requirements with the user Schools. In addition, you will be considered for any longer term/permanent roles that are advertised by the school. This would be an ideal route into permanent employment for an NQT who has yet to secure a position for this academic year, equally it would suit an experienced teacher that does not want to take on the burden of planning, preparation and marking.
Some of the best Schools in Haringey, Brent and Barnet are recruiting now to their ever increasing cover need - you are encouraged to apply to become one of their new term supply teachers.
