Full Time Support Worker for PMLD School

Responsibilities:
As a Support Worker, you will play a crucial role in providing individualised support and assistance to PMLD children within the school setting. Your responsibilities will include:
- Assisting students with daily activities, including personal care, feeding, and mobility support.
- Implementing and following individual education plans (IEPs) to support student's academic and social development.
- Collaborating with teaching staff to create a safe and inclusive learning environment.
- Supporting students during therapy sessions and extracurricular activities.
- Monitoring and recording student's progress and reporting any concerns to the appropriate staff members.
- Promoting positive behaviour and encouraging independence among students.
- Ensuring the safety and well-being of students at all times.
Requirements:
- Previous experience working with PMLD children or individuals with severe learning difficulties is highly desirable.
- A genuine passion for working in the education sector and supporting children with complex needs.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
- Ability to work effectively as part of a team.
- Flexibility and adaptability to meet the individual needs of students.
- A compassionate and patient nature.
