Support Worker

Support Worker needed in a 'Outstanding' school in South East London.

You must hold a Degree/Diploma in Speech and Language Therapy which is recognised by the Royal College of Speech and Language Therapists, in order to be considered for this Support Worker role.

Being registered with the Health and Care Professions Council is also essential in order for the school to shortlist you as a Support Worker.

Membership to the Royal College of Speech and Language Therapists would be advantageous for this Support Worker position.

You will need experience/knowledge of supporting children with ASD, ADHD, PDA and Severe Language Disorders to be able to carry out duties effectively as a Support Worker.

Some elements of this Support Worker role will require you to support children who face social issues and come from disadvantaged backgrounds.

In addition to all the above, confidence of using SCERTS, TEACCH and PECS/Makaton would be desirable for this Support Worker post.

Team Teach and Manual Handling training would also strengthen your application for this opportunity to work as a Support Worker.

The salary for this Support Worker position will be between £24211 to £26003, depending on the qualifications and experiences of each candidate.
