Reeson Education are recruiting a skilled English Teacher for a well-established secondary school in Barnsley (S75). This role is ideal for a dedicated professional who can deliver inspiring English lessons while maintaining strong classroom management and promoting academic excellence.

About the Role:
As an English Teacher, you will deliver structured and engaging lessons across Key Stages 3 and 4 (Key Stage 5 desirable). You will play a key role in developing pupils' literacy skills, analytical thinking, and confidence in both English Language and Literature.

Key Responsibilities as English Teacher:
* Curriculum Delivery: Deliver high-quality English lessons aligned with the national curriculum and examination requirements.
* Classroom Management: Maintain clear routines, expectations, and a positive learning environment.
* Progress Monitoring: Assess, monitor, and track pupil progress to ensure strong academic outcomes.
* Targeted Support: Differentiate learning to meet the needs of all pupils, including those requiring additional support.
* Team Collaboration: Work closely with colleagues, senior leaders, and parents to support pupil achievement.

To succeed as an English Teacher, you will need:
* Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent teaching qualification.
* Proven experience teaching English at secondary level.
* Strong subject knowledge in English Language and Literature.
* Confident classroom presence with effective behaviour management skills.
* An enhanced DBS on the update service, or willingness to apply through Reeson Education.
