About the Job:

This primary school in attractive Ealing area of West London are seeking a Teacher of the Deaf confident teaching children in the school's Hearing Impairment Provision (HIP). British Sign Language (BSL) is not required for the role, however those with an interest in SEN and happy to be trained in a Teacher of the Deaf role are welcomed. The role is looking for those who can inspire confidence in pupils with hearing impairments, parents and staff. The role is full-time Monday to Friday teaching pupils in the HIP and will start January 2021. You will be a valued part of the hearing impairment provision team who work together closely to provide a safe and engaging educational environment for deaf children.

You will be supported in the unit by experienced SEN LSAs who will help deliver learning programmes. You will be planning, and teaching lessons based on the national curriculum with each pupils having a learning programmes tailored to support their specific needs.

About the Primary School: This primary school is based in Northolt area of Ealing for Primary aged pupils.

The head is looking for those who are:

  • Qualified Teacher of the Deaf, or looking to progress into this role
  • Qualified with QTS or PGCE
  • Experience planning and teaching lessons for primary aged children long term in UK schools
  • Available ASAP for a full-time role - permanent options available for the right person
  • Have a Clear DBS and Two strong supporting references
