What does being a Teaching Assistant entail within an SEN School?
- Working 1:1 or in small groups
- Reporting on individual progress
- Liaising with parents
- Managing Challenging Behaviour
- Using PECS
Working within an SEN School is a highly rewarding job. Our client schools work with a magnitude of SEN such as PMLD, ASC, MLD, SLD, SEMH, SLCN, HI and VI. Working as Teaching Assistant within SEN Schools may require supporting children with personal care. The level of personal care can vary on a number of factors such as age.
These roles will be full time, long term positions starting from February (Covid19 depending). We are ideally looking for someone who is a graduate TA however, this is not essential. The successful candidates need to have confidence, resilience, enthusiasm in addition to being highly dependable.
