We are currently searching for an enthusiastic SEN TA to work on a 1:1 basis with a child currently at Key Stage 2. We are looking for the SEN TA to have an understanding of PMLD (profound multiple learning difficulties.) Part of your role will be to monitor the child's behaviour and liaise back to the class teacher, prepare the classroom for the day, provide personal care if required and support the teacher.
A teaching assistant with prior school-based experience and/or a background in health care would be preferred however this is not essential. This is a full time, long term position with an immediate start. This position will be working with students of a primary age between the ages of 7 - 11.
As this position is based within a special school, it is essential that the successful candidate makes a smooth transition to integrate into the school, so as little disruption is made as possible for staff and pupils.
The school sits in the fantastic location of Brent and offers staff parking. The school is part of a trust that offers terrific facilities for both students and staff.
