As a Teaching Assistant, you will be an integral part of the school's support team, working closely with students who have Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD) and Severe Learning Difficulties (SLD). • Implement strategies to manage challenging behaviours, promoting a positive and inclusive learning environment.
  • Support students with personal care and hygiene, ensuring their well-being and safety at all times.
  • Liaise with parents, carers, and external professionals to provide feedback on student progress and contribute to the development of individual education plans.
  • Contribute to the wider school community, participating in staff meetings and training sessions to enhance your skills and knowledge.

This is a full-time, long-term role with an immediate start. Working hours are from 8am to 4pm, providing you with a stable and consistent work schedule.

  • Experience working with students with ASD and SLD is essential.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills to effectively engage and motivate students.
  • A patient and empathetic nature, with the ability to build positive relationships with students and their families.
  • A proactive and resilient approach, able to adapt to changing situations and effectively manage challenging behaviours.
  • Relevant qualifications, such as a Level 2 or Level 3 Teaching Assistant certification, are highly desirable but not essential.
