REESON Education are recruiting for a passionate and dedicated Teaching Assistant to join our Islington partner school as soon as possible. The role will be on a long term supply basis via our agency until the end of the school year in July.
The School:
The school is a lively and diverse 2 form entry community school rated OFSTED "Outstanding". Based in an affluent Central North London neighbourhood, the school boasts excellent transport links via bus, Underground and Overground.
Behaviour across the school is of a good standard and children enjoy their days at school. The Senior Leadership team is very dedicated to ensuring staff have a good work/life balance and feel valued within their roles. There is little staff turnover and both Teachers and Teaching Assistants tend to progress internally within the school.
The Role:
This Teaching Assistant role will be offering support to a class of approximately 28 Year 3 pupils. The class is mixed ability and has a very high standard of behaviour - there are also no real SEND needs in the class. Your Teaching Assistant responsibilities will be helping the class teacher to deliver lessons and ensure that each child has a good understanding of the lesson and objectives.
You will help the Class Teacher set up activities, supervise break times and manage behaviour effectively. You will be the only Teaching Assistant in the class therefore it is important that you are diverse, able to think on your feet and multitask.
To apply for this Teaching Assistant role you will need:
- A clear, enhanced DBS ideally on the update service
- Ideally 6 months (or more) experience working in an education setting
- Strong behaviour management and organisation skills
- The right to work in the UK
