Teaching Assistant - Float for Primary & Secondary
Are you a compassionate and dedicated Teaching Assistant with experience in supporting students with Social, Emotional, and Mental Health (SEMH) needs? Look no further! We are currently seeking a Float SEMH Teaching Assistant to join our lovely Pupil Referral Unit (PRU) in Harrow on a full-time, long-term basis, with an immediate start.
Responsibilities of a Float SEMH Teaching Assistant:
- Provide individualised support to students with SEMH needs, both academically and emotionally.
- Assist the class teacher in delivering engaging and differentiated lessons to meet the specific needs of students.
- Support students on a one-on-one basis or in small groups, inside and outside the classroom, to promote their learning and personal development.
- Help create a positive and inclusive learning environment by implementing behaviour management strategies and promoting positive behaviour.
- Collaborate with the school's leadership team and SENCO to develop and implement tailored support plans for students.
- Foster positive relationships with students, building trust and rapport to encourage their engagement and participation in learning activities.
- Assist with the assessment of student progress, providing feedback and contributing to progress reports.
- Communicate effectively with parents, carers, and external agencies to ensure a cohesive approach to student support.
- Maintain accurate records of student progress, behaviour incidents, and any additional support provided.
- Attend relevant training and professional development opportunities to enhance your skills and knowledge in supporting SEMH students.
