SEN Teaching Assistant

As a SEN Teaching Assistant, you will have the privilege of working closely with SLD children at Key Stage 4, supporting their educational and personal development. Your role will involve assisting the class teacher in creating a nurturing and inclusive learning environment, tailored to meet the unique needs of each student.
Responsibilities as a SEN Teaching Assistant will include:
- Providing one-on-one support to students with special educational needs, ensuring their individual needs are met.
- Assisting with the planning and delivery of engaging and interactive lessons that promote academic progress and personal growth.
- Implementing strategies to support students' social and emotional well-being, fostering a positive and inclusive classroom atmosphere.
- Collaborating with the class teacher and other support staff to create personalised learning plans and monitor student progress.
- Supporting students with daily routines, including personal care and hygiene, to promote independence and self-confidence.
- Utilising a range of resources and assistive technology to enhance learning experiences for students with diverse abilities.
This full-time role offers consistent working hours from 8:45 am to 3:45 pm, Monday to Friday, allowing for a healthy work-life balance. You will be joining a school with a fantastic leadership team that values and invests in their staff.
