Teaching Assistant Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist in the preparation and delivery of engaging and differentiated lessons, working closely with the class teacher.
  • Provide one-on-one and small group support to students, particularly those with additional learning needs, to enhance their educational experience.
  • Contribute to the development and implementation of Individual Education Plans (IEPs) for students requiring additional support.
  • Help maintain a positive and inclusive classroom environment that encourages active learning and fosters student engagement.
  • Support the class teacher in assessing and monitoring student progress, providing constructive feedback to ensure continuous improvement.
  • Assist in the supervision of students during break times, ensuring their safety and promoting positive social interactions.
  • Participate in school activities, events, and outings, contributing to the broader school community.
  • Uphold the school's values and ethos in all interactions with students, staff, and parents.

Teaching Assistant Requirements:

  • Previous experience working as a Teaching Assistant or in a similar role within a primary school setting.
  • A passion for education and a genuine interest in supporting the learning and development of children.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build positive relationships with students, colleagues, and parents.
  • A proactive and flexible approach to work, with the ability to adapt to changing needs and priorities.
  • A commitment to continuous professional development and a desire to contribute to the school community.
  • An Enhanced DBS check will be required for the successful candidate.
