About the Role
A friendly and well-organised Tower Hamlets primary school near Bromley-by-Bow Station is looking to appoint a reliable Teaching Assistant to join their upper KS2 team from 26 January. The school has clear routines, positive behaviour expectations, and a strong focus on pupil progress.
As a Teaching Assistant, you will support a Year 5 class during core subjects, run small-group literacy and maths interventions, and provide additional guidance to pupils who need help staying focused and organised. The role is well suited to someone who enjoys working with older primary pupils and contributing to a structured learning environment.
The Ideal Candidate
The school is keen to recruit a Teaching Assistant who:
Has experience supporting KS2 pupils
Is confident leading small groups and intervention work
Can follow lesson plans and adapt tasks when needed
Brings a calm, consistent and positive approach
Works effectively as part of a collaborative staff team
Graduates in Education, Psychology, English, Maths or Social Sciences are encouraged to apply, though relevant classroom experience is equally valued.
