Daily Rate: £90-£110 per day
About the Role
A welcoming and inclusive primary school in Tower Hamlets is looking to appoint a dedicated Teaching Assistant to support pupils in Reception. The role involves providing one-to-one support for a pupil with additional needs and leading small group interventions, particularly in early literacy and phonics.
This is a fantastic opportunity for a patient, caring, and enthusiastic Teaching Assistant who enjoys helping young learners develop confidence, communication skills, and a love of learning.
Key Responsibilities
Provide tailored one-to-one support for a child in Reception.
Lead small group activities to boost early reading and phonics development.
Support the class teacher in creating a positive, engaging learning environment.
Monitor progress and adapt support to meet the child's individual needs.
Promote independence and social development through play-based learning.
Candidate Requirements
Experience as a Teaching Assistant, ideally in Early Years or KS1.
Knowledge of phonics and early reading strategies is highly desirable.
Strong communication and teamwork skills.
A nurturing and proactive approach to supporting young children.
