Reeson Education is looking for a committed, adaptable Teaching Assistant to join a fantastic SEMH school based in the M30 area of Salford. This full-time, long-term Teaching Assistant role is ideal for someone who thrives in a nurturing, therapeutic setting and is passionate about making a real difference.

As a Teaching Assistant in this unique school community, you will support pupils aged 7 to 16 with a wide range of needs - including trauma, anxiety, behavioural challenges, and social, emotional and mental health needs. This Teaching Assistant role will also involve outreach work and travel between nearby school sites, so a driving licence and access to a car is essential.

You will work 1:1, in small groups, and provide classroom support in smaller, calmer environments where meaningful learning can truly take place. As a valued Teaching Assistant, you'll be part of a school that offers genuine warmth, team spirit, and a strong commitment to continuous professional development - including weekly staff training to help you grow.

Teaching Assistant - What You'll Be Doing:
* Supporting pupils aged 7 to 16 with SEMH and complex needs as a Teaching Assistant
* Providing 1:1 and small group interventions tailored to individual learning styles
* Offering classroom support in low-stimulation, well-structured settings
* Delivering outreach support and travelling between nearby school locations
* Using behaviour support and emotional regulation strategies as a Teaching Assistant
* Supporting pupils with anxiety, trauma, ADHD, and other challenges
* Helping learners develop confidence, routine, and a sense of safety
* Collaborating with teachers, pastoral staff, and the wider therapeutic team
* Participating in staff training and development sessions each week
* Building strong, trusting relationships as a consistent Teaching Assistant

Teaching Assistant - What We're Looking For:
* Experience supporting young people with SEMH, trauma or additional needs
* Confidence in managing behaviour and emotional regulation as a Teaching Assistant
* A driving licence and access to a car (essential for outreach work)
* A patient, calm, and empathetic approach
* Flexibility to work across multiple settings within the local area
* Commitment to full-time hours and long-term work
* A genuine passion for helping vulnerable learners succeed
* DBS on the update service (or willing to apply)
* Previous Teaching Assistant experience is preferred
