SEN Teaching Assistant - Primary School - Autism Support - Haringey
A welcoming and inclusive Primary School in Haringey, North London, is seeking a passionate SEN Teaching Assistant to support pupils with Autism within a mainstream classroom setting.
The Headteacher is particularly keen to meet Psychology Graduates and experienced SEN Teaching Assistants who are eager to make a difference in the lives of children with additional needs. This is a long-term role, ideal for someone who wants to build their experience in education and child development.
As an SEN Teaching Assistant, you will:
Teaching assistant to support children with Autism on a 1:1 and small group basis.
Teaching assistant to assist with communication, social interaction, and sensory regulation.
Implement strategies such as visual timetables and structured routines.
Work closely with the class teacher, SENCo, and external professionals.
Encourage independence, confidence, and emotional wellbeing.
Teaching Assistant - Requirements:
Previous experience supporting SEN pupils (Autism essential).
Psychology Graduates or experienced Teaching Assistants welcome.
Strong communication skills and a calm, nurturing approach.
Ability to build positive relationships and maintain consistency.

Start: Immediate or November 2025
Pay: £85-£100 per day (depending on experience)
