Teaching Assistant - KS1/KS2 - PE & OPAL Lead - Primary School in Deptford - September 2025 Start
Are you an energetic and passionate Teaching Assistant with a love for sports and outdoor learning? A vibrant primary school in Deptford is seeking a full-time Teaching Assistant to join their dynamic team from September 2025.
This Teaching Assistant role will be split across KS1 and KS2, supporting pupils within the classroom, as well as leading outdoor play and sports activities. The school is particularly keen to find a Teaching Assistant who can take the lead on OPAL (Outdoor Play and Learning) during break times and contribute to running after-school football clubs.
Teaching Assistant Responsibilities:
Providing in-class support to pupils in KS1 and KS2
Withdrawing small groups or individuals for targeted interventions
Supporting pupils who need extra help with focus or behaviour
Taking an active lead during playtimes as the school's OPAL Lead
Supporting the PE Lead and helping organise and run football clubs after school
Collaborating with teachers and SEN staff to ensure inclusive and active learning
Being a positive role model as a proactive Teaching Assistant
Maintaining a safe, engaging and supportive environment for all learners
