Teaching Assistant - SEN Support (Autism & Behaviour) - Primary School in Haringey
A welcoming Primary School in Haringey is looking to appoint a dedicated Teaching Assistant for September 2025, with the chance to trial immediately. This is a fantastic opportunity for a graduate or experienced Teaching Assistant who is passionate about supporting children with SEN, Autism, and Behavioural needs.
The school has recently received new EHCPs, and the Headteacher is seeking multiple Teaching Assistants to provide tailored one-to-one and small group support. Psychology graduates are especially encouraged to apply, as this role provides excellent experience working with children who have complex needs.
As a Teaching Assistant, you will:
Support pupils with Autism and behavioural challenges in KS1 and KS2.
Work closely with the SENCO, external professionals, and class teachers to implement EHCP targets.
Use strategies to support emotional regulation, communication, and social interaction.
Contribute to the academic and personal development of pupils, helping them to achieve their potential.
This Teaching Assistant role is temp to perm and will suit someone seeking long-term impact in an inclusive, supportive school.
