Reeson Education is recruiting a (Level 3) Teaching Assistant for a welcoming primary school in M19. This is a full-time, long-term Teaching Assistant role starting immediately, supporting pupils across multiple classes and key stages.

This position is ideal for a confident Teaching Assistant with a Level 3 qualification (or equivalent) who is comfortable working as a general Teaching Assistant and providing SEND support where required. Due to the nature of the role, the successful Teaching Assistant will at times be required to take responsibility within the classroom, including leading learning when necessary.

Teaching Assistant - Role Overview:

As a Teaching Assistant, you will work flexibly across the school, supporting learning in EYFS, KS1 and KS2. The Teaching Assistant will assist class teachers, support pupils with additional needs, and help maintain a calm, inclusive learning environment.

Teaching Assistant - Key Responsibilities:

  • Work across different classes and key stages as a Teaching Assistant
    * Provide general classroom support as a Teaching Assistant
    * Support pupils with SEND, including ASD, ADHD, SEMH and learning needs
    * Deliver 1:1 and small group support as a Teaching Assistant
    * Step in to lead activities or supervise learning when required as a Teaching Assistant
    * Support behaviour management and emotional regulation as a Teaching Assistant
    * Adapt learning materials to meet pupil needs as a Teaching Assistant
    * Work closely with teachers and staff as a Teaching Assistant
    * Promote inclusion and pupil engagement as a Teaching Assistant
    * Uphold safeguarding procedures at all times as a Teaching Assistant

Teaching Assistant - Requirements:

  • Level 3 Teaching Assistant qualification (or equivalent) essential
    * Previous experience working as a Teaching Assistant in a primary school
    * Confidence working across key stages as a Teaching Assistant
    * Experience supporting SEND pupils as a Teaching Assistant
    * Strong behaviour management and communication skills
    * Enhanced DBS on the Update Service (or willingness to apply)
