Job Title: Teaching Assistant
Location: M4, Manchester
Pay Range: £13.69 to £15.87 per hour
Work Schedule: Monday to Friday - hours vary between 8:00 AM to 4:00 PM (depending on rota)

Reeson Education is working with a vibrant and welcoming primary school in the M4 area of Manchester, seeking a confident and experienced Teaching Assistant with a Level 3 qualification to join their supportive EYFS/KS1 team. This Teaching Assistant role is available to start immediately, with long-term continuity and real opportunity to become a permanent member of staff.

As a Teaching Assistant, you'll be placed in either Nursery, Reception or one of the Key Stage 1 classes based on experience and fit. The school operates a flexible daily schedule, so some days you'll start at 8:00 AM and finish at 3:30 PM, and other days might run 8:30 AM to 4:00 PM - ensuring you're part of the full school day and supporting pupils' learning and development effectively.

Teaching Assistant Responsibilities:

  • Support a class teacher in EYFS or KS1 depending on placement
  • Deliver group interventions and 1:1 support as a Teaching Assistant
  • Help create stimulating, safe, and supportive classroom environments
  • Adapt tasks for pupils with differing levels of ability and confidence
  • Assist with phonics, early literacy and numeracy, and daily classroom routines
  • Promote a nurturing and consistent learning experience across the setting

The Ideal Teaching Assistant Will:

  • Hold a Level 3 Teaching Assistant qualification (essential)
  • Have strong experience within EYFS or KS1 classrooms
  • Be confident supporting pupils with a range of needs and abilities
  • Be reliable, flexible, and committed to full-time, long-term work
  • Bring a warm, professional attitude and be a team player

Teaching Assistant Requirements:

  • Enhanced DBS on the Update Service (or willing to apply)
  • Right to work in the UK
  • Recent references covering the last 2-3 years
  • Previous school-based experience essential
