We are looking for a dedicated and enthusiastic Teaching Assistant to join our friendly primary school team in St Helens. This is an exciting opportunity for a passionate Teaching Assistant who wants to make a real difference in children's learning and development.
Key Responsibilities:
Work closely with class teachers as a Teaching Assistant to support pupils across the curriculum
Provide targeted support to individuals and small groups as a Teaching Assistant
Assist with lesson preparation, classroom organisation, and behaviour management
Encourage independence, engagement, and confidence in all pupils
Act as a reliable and approachable Teaching Assistant within the school community
The Ideal Candidate:
Previous experience as a Teaching Assistant, ideally in a primary school setting
A calm, patient, and empathetic approach suitable for a Teaching Assistant role
Strong communication and teamwork skills
Knowledge of safeguarding and child welfare practices
Relevant qualifications such as Level 2/3 Teaching Assistant - desirable but not essential
