Teaching Assistant

Pimlico, London

£90 - £110 per day, weekly pay

Experienced supporting children with special needs? Personal experience around Autism? Patient and caring but able to set clear boundaries?

8:30am - 4pm Monday - Friday, Term time working only, Central London

This primary school in Pimlico is looking for an experienced teaching assistant to support children at primary age with special needs. Competitive pay rates, small and close-knit team, support from all staff and in a central London location.

School:

This is a small primary school in the heart of Pimlico where everyone is welcoming, supportive and work as a close team to best support the children. School is central to the local community and a short walk from Pimlico station. OFSTED reported this school as 'good' and commented 'pupils are happy at school as they feel like they belong to a big family' and 'Pupil's are kind and respectful towards adults, and towards each other'. Schools high academic and behavioural expectations have enabled children to make excellent progress; by the time they reach KS2, pupils attain well above national expectations.

What you'll need:

  • Previous experience in a personal or professional capacity, supporting children or young adults with learning difficulties such as Autism, ADHD, communication difficulties or/and behaviour issues.
  • The ability to be kind, patient and understanding whilst also setting clear boundaries
  • A passion to support pupils to achieve the best they can, both academically and personally
  • Right to work full time in the UK and a valid DBS (Reeson Education can assist with apply for a DBS)
