Reeson Education is looking for a nurturing and committed Teaching Assistant to join a welcoming primary school in the M11 area from September. This Teaching Assistant role is full-time and long-term, with the potential to become permanent for the right person. The successful Teaching Assistant will be based in a vibrant Early Years setting, supporting young learners as they take their first steps in education.

This is a fantastic opportunity for a qualified Teaching Assistant (ideally Level 3) with a passion for EYFS and early child development.

Teaching Assistant - Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide classroom support in EYFS as a Teaching Assistant
  • Assist the class teacher with daily routines and learning objectives
  • Deliver targeted support to small groups and individual pupils
  • Create a safe, stimulating environment for early learners
  • Work as a Teaching Assistant to promote positive behaviour and social development
  • Support phonics, numeracy, and communication-based activities
  • Track pupil progress and liaise with the class teacher and SENDCO
  • Establish strong, trusting relationships with pupils and families
  • Maintain high levels of safeguarding and pastoral care
  • Contribute to the wider school community as a valued Teaching Assistant

Teaching Assistant - Requirements:

  • Level 3 Teaching Assistant qualification (or equivalent preferred)
  • Experience working in EYFS as a Teaching Assistant
  • Knowledge of early learning goals and child development
  • Positive, calm, and patient approach
  • Excellent communication and teamwork skills
  • A passion for helping young children thrive in the early years
  • A valid Enhanced DBS (on the update service) or willingness to apply
