Job Title: Teaching Assistant
Location: SK5
Pay Rates: £13.69 - £15.87 per hour
Shift Pattern: Monday to Friday
Hours: 8:30am - 4:00pm (30-minute lunch break)
Reeson Education are currently seeking a Teaching Assistant to join one of our welcoming partner primary schools in the SK5 area. The school has a warm, family feel and prides itself on being a nurturing environment where every child - and every member of staff - is valued and supported. Staff are passionate about getting to know each pupil individually, both inside and outside the classroom, which makes this a wonderful place to work as a Teaching Assistant.
About the Teaching Assistant role:
This Teaching Assistant position is based in a Year 2 class, supporting a pupil on a 1:1 basis who presents with SEMH (Social, Emotional and Mental Health) needs.
The role is full-time and confirmed until the end of the academic year, with a strong possibility of continuing beyond that, ideally allowing the Teaching Assistant to remain with the same pupil next year.
As the Teaching Assistant, you'll work closely with the class teacher and pastoral team to implement effective support strategies and ensure individual learning plans are followed.
The child can occasionally become emotionally dysregulated, so the school is looking for a Teaching Assistant who is calm, patient, and confident managing challenging behaviour in a nurturing, consistent way.
The successful Teaching Assistant will be supported by a highly experienced SEND and pastoral team, ensuring you feel valued and well-equipped throughout the day.
An immediate start is available for this Teaching Assistant position. Applicants must be available to work full-time, Monday to Friday, for the full school day. Please only apply if you can commit to these hours for the duration of the role.
Requirements for the Teaching Assistant role:
Ideally qualified to Level 1, 2 or 3 in Teaching Assistant studies (or equivalent - not essential)
Two professional references, including one ideally from an educational or childcare setting
Ability to work collaboratively as part of a close-knit team
Previous experience supporting children with varying levels of need as a Teaching Assistant
A patient, adaptable, and proactive approach, with a genuine passion for helping children succeed academically and emotionally
Teaching Assistant benefits:
Competitive hourly pay
Weekly pay via PAYE or Umbrella company
Dedicated specialist consultant and ongoing professional support
Opportunity to work in a welcoming, well-led school with an outstanding team
If you're a Teaching Assistant seeking a rewarding, long-term opportunity where you can make a real impact and feel part of a supportive school community, we'd love to hear from you.
