Many pupils have co-existing conditions such as Autism, Down Syndrome, and physical disabilities. The school operates across two sites-one for Primary and one for Secondary.

Teaching Assistant
As a Teaching Assistant (TA) in this setting, you will:
- Support pupils with severe and complex learning difficulties
- Assist with personal care, feeding, and mobility where required
- Implement structured routines and behaviour support strategies
- Use communication aids, sensory resources, and visual timetables
- Work closely with teachers, therapists, and other professionals
- Help create a safe, engaging, and inclusive learning environment
- Encourage independence and celebrate small steps of progress
Teaching Assistant
What a typical day might look like:
- Supporting pupils during morning arrival and settling routines
- Assisting with communication and sensory activities
- Helping deliver tailored lessons and interventions
- Supporting pupils during break and lunch times
- Using visual aids and structured prompts to guide learning
- Assisting with personal care and physical support where needed
- Recording pupil progress and sharing feedback with the team
