Reeson Education is working with a fantastic mainstream primary school in the M16 area of Trafford that is looking for a committed Teaching Assistant to join their SEN provision from September. This is a full-time, long-term Teaching Assistant role with consistency, collaboration, and compassion at its heart.

As a Teaching Assistant, you will support a wide range of needs across all key stages - from EYFS to Year 6 - including pupils with ASD, ADHD, SEMH, Global Developmental Delay, and other learning differences. You'll work 1:1, in small groups, and provide class-based support depending on the needs of the children.

Teaching Assistant - What You'll Be Doing:

  • Supporting children with SEN across EYFS, KS1, and KS2 as a Teaching Assistant
  • Working 1:1 and in small groups with pupils with diverse needs
  • Assisting with communication, sensory regulation, behaviour, and daily routines
  • Supporting emotional wellbeing and positive behaviour management
  • Delivering tailored interventions in literacy, numeracy, and phonics
  • Helping teachers adapt learning materials and tasks
  • Building trust and confidence as a consistent Teaching Assistant
  • Creating safe, inclusive spaces for pupils to thrive
  • Collaborating with teachers, SENCO, and families as a Teaching Assistant

Teaching Assistant - What We're Looking For:

  • Previous experience as a Teaching Assistant or supporting children with SEN
  • Patience, empathy, and emotional intelligence
  • A calm, grounded approach to behaviour and regulation
  • Confidence supporting across key stages as a Teaching Assistant
  • Ability to work flexibly and adapt to individual pupil needs
  • DBS on the update service (or willing to apply)
  • Level 2 or Level 3 Teaching Assistant qualification preferred
  • Full-time availability from September
