Are you passionate about making a difference in the lives of students with special educational needs (SEN)? Do you have experience working 1:1 with students and the flexibility to work on-call a couple of days a week? We have an exciting opportunity for an On-Call SEN Tutor to support one of our lovely SEN Schools!
As an On-Call SEN Tutor, you will have the chance to work directly with a student, providing them with the individualised support they need to succeed. This role could potentially become an ongoing position, allowing you to build a meaningful and impactful relationship with the student and witness their growth over time.
Responsibilities of an SEN Tutor include:
- Delivering personalised instruction tailored to the student's unique learning needs and abilities.
- Developing and implementing individualised education plans (IEPs) to support the student's progress.
- Adapting teaching materials and methods to suit the student's learning style.
- Providing one-on-one support and guidance to enhance the student's academic and social development.
- Building a positive and supportive relationship with the student, fostering a safe and inclusive learning environment.
- Assessing the student's progress and keeping detailed records to track their achievements.
- Collaborating with the student's teachers, parents, and other professionals to ensure a coordinated approach to their education.
- Utilising various teaching strategies, assistive technologies, and resources to enhance the student's learning experience.
- Implementing behaviour management techniques and promoting independence and self-esteem in the student.
